About Ventura Gem & Mineral Society

The Ventura Gem & Mineral Society (VGMS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit promoting popular interest in geology, mineralogy, paleontology, and related subjects. The club sponsors educational events, field trips, and demonstrations, and runs a youth program called Pebble Pups. Its annual Ventura Gem Show features rock, mineral, fossil, and lapidary collections and is open to the public.
