About Calaveras Gem & Mineral Society
Established in 1948, the society exists to share knowledge about rocks and minerals, both among members and with the public, and is a member of the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies. The club maintains a clubhouse near Angels Camp with rock and trim saws, cabbing units and polishers available to members on Saturdays. The group holds an annual show with $7 per-person admission (children under 12 free with an adult) and is working on dates for future field trips.
