About Searchers Gem and Mineral Society
Established in 1958, the Searchers Gem and Mineral Society is an educational organization focused on rockhounding, lapidary arts, and jewelry making. The group hosts monthly meetings, runs field trips during the cooler months, operates a well-equipped lapidary workshop open Thursdays 4:30-9:00 PM and Saturdays 2:30-6:00 PM for a $10 equipment fee, and produces an annual rock show considered one of the best in California.
