About Sierra Pelona Rock Club
Formed in 1958 in Santa Clarita, the Sierra Pelona Rock Club promotes interest and education in mineralogy, lapidary, geology, and paleontology. The nonprofit holds general membership meetings, field expeditions, quarterly lapidary workshops with equipment access and a tool-borrowing program, and family-friendly social events. Guests are always welcome at meetings, and the club describes itself as kid-safe.
