About Santa Lucia Rockhounds
Santa Lucia Rockhounds is a nonprofit established in 1992 serving northern San Luis Obispo County. Its mission is promoting the study of rocks, minerals, gems, and fossils, along with the natural sciences concerned with Earth's formation and geology. The club holds monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, runs field trips, and organizes activities for members of all ages -- youth make up more than 25% of total membership. New and prospective members are welcome at general meetings.
