About Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society
Founded in 1961, an organization dedicated to rock, gem, mineral, and fossil enthusiasts. The society runs the Durley Workshop, where members learn lapidary and jewelry-making skills at all levels ("no experience needed, beginners welcome"), a Pebble Pups youth program for ages 6-17, field trips to collecting sites, and classes with hands-on instruction. Affiliated with CFMS and AFMS.
