About Mojave Desert Gem & Mineral Society
A nonprofit organization founded in 1940 for people interested in collecting and learning about gems, minerals, rocks, fossils, lapidary arts and the earth sciences. The society runs a kids group, workshops, and field trips, and offers a scholarship for San Bernardino County residents pursuing earth sciences or lapidary arts. Affiliated with CFMS and AFMS.
