About Antelope Valley Gem and Mineral Club
A club dedicated to collecting and studying minerals, rocks and fossils, and to providing opportunity for the exhibition and exchange of specimens and lapidary arts. Programs include educational films, guest speakers, auctions, lapidary and jewelry classes, and a kids' program. The club runs monthly field trips during the cooler months and provides lapidary equipment for member use. It puts on a free gem and mineral show each spring (typically April or May) and participates in the Antelope Valley Fair each September.
