About Shoshone Rock Club
The Shoshone Rock Club, founded April 6, 1951, is a nonprofit rock and mineral club based in Powell, Wyoming, and a member society of the Wyoming State Mineral and Gem Society. It serves rockhounds throughout the Big Horn Basin region. The club is led by President Gary Olson and meets monthly at the Powell Library. Each May, the club co-hosts the two-day Bighorn Basin Rock Show with the Cody 59ers Rock Club at the Park County Fairgrounds, featuring vendor booths, mineral and rock displays, and family activities.
