About Natrona County Rockhounds
The Natrona County Rockhounds Club started in 1946 and is a member society of the Wyoming State Mineral and Gem Society, based in Mills (Casper), Wyoming. The club currently has approximately 57 members, led by President Mac Goss. Its clubhouse provides members with both a meeting space and a lapidary shop area for cutting and polishing projects, with classes offered throughout the year and field trips in the summer. The club hosts an annual Rock, Gem & Mineral Show in Casper (its 71st edition in 2026) featuring rough rocks, gems, minerals, lapidary equipment and supplies, hand-crafted jewelry vendors, displays, games, a silent auction, and door prizes for both adults and children.
