About Sublette County Rock Hounds
Sublette County Rock Hounds was founded by Jim and Leanne Gray, owners of the JL Gray Rock Shop, and celebrated its 10th anniversary at its June 2026 show — placing its founding around 2016. It is a member society of the Wyoming State Mineral and Gem Society, led by President Jim Gray. The club meets at the Marbleton Senior Center and sells raffle tickets, T-shirts, and patches to fund two Pinedale and Big Piney geology/earth-science scholarships. Each June the club hosts its Annual Gem & Mineral Show at the Sublette County Fairgrounds, which in 2026 doubles as the statewide Wyoming State Gem Show.
