About Fredericksburg Rockhounds
Fredericksburg Rockhounds is a nonprofit founded in 1968 for the study and enjoyment of gems, minerals, and fossils, affiliated with AFMS and SCFMS. Monthly meetings feature guest speakers and door prizes, and the club organizes frequent field trips for rock hunting and museum visits, along with rock swaps, an annual June picnic, and a Christmas party. The club hosts an indoor gem, mineral, and fossil show each mid-January and welcomes visitors to its meetings at the Golden Hub Senior Center.
