About St. Lawrence County Rock & Mineral Club
The St. Lawrence County Rock & Mineral Club serves the NW Adirondack Lowlands region of Northern NY and has approximately 150 members. The club aims to stimulate interest in rock and mineral collection and disseminate knowledge of mineralogy, collecting, and classification. It runs summer collecting digs, generally the third Saturday of each month, posted on its site. Proceeds from its long-running annual show support mineralogy scholarships at SUNY Potsdam and St. Lawrence University, and fund the club's 'Mineral Kits for Kids' and 'Kids' Fluorescent Mineral Hunt' programs. It is a member of the EFMLS. Note: the club's website is reachable over plain HTTP but its HTTPS certificate is misconfigured/parked (resolves to an unrelated placeholder cert) - content below was retrieved via a proxy fetch of the HTTP version.
