About Finger Lakes Gem, Mineral & Fossil Club
Founded in 1999, the Finger Lakes Gem, Mineral & Fossil Club is the only club of its kind in the Finger Lakes Region, serving Canandaigua and Ontario County, NY. The club was created to encourage interest in field collecting, mineral and fossil preservation, and the lapidary arts. It joined the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies (EFMLS) in 2016. The club hosts an annual spring show, Quartz Fest, at the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center.
