About New Jersey Mineralogical Society Inc
The New Jersey Mineralogical Society, Inc., founded in 1938, is one of the state's oldest rock and mineral clubs and joined the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies (EFMLS) in 1989. It meets monthly, March through December, at the Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside and publishes a newsletter called Chips + Deposits. The society's flagship public event is its annual Mineral, Gem & Jewelry Show at Trailside each November.
