About Franklin-Ogdensburg Mineralogical Society, Inc.
The Franklin-Ogdensburg Mineralogical Society (FOMS), founded in 1959, focuses on the minerals, mineralogy, and geology of the world-famous Franklin-Ogdensburg mining district in New Jersey. Its stated goals are to establish a museum, develop mineralogical research, and promote fellowship among collectors. FOMS holds seven meetings a year at Kraissl Hall in the Franklin Mineral Museum, all open to the public, and organizes field trips for members. Individual membership costs $40/year and family membership $50/year.
