About Midwest Mineralological & Lapidary Society
Midwest Mineralogical and Lapidary Society (MMLS) is a Taylor, Michigan club dedicated to rocks, minerals, fossils, and lapidary arts, founded in 1956. General club meetings are held at the Democratic Club of Taylor, and the society runs an annual SuperSwap rock-and-mineral swap-and-sale event each September. MMLS members take part in field trips, including outings such as a Sylvania Quarry collecting trip, and the club maintains an archive of newsletters spanning multiple years documenting its activities and member finds.
