About Gem, Lapidary & Mineral Society of Montgomery County MD
GLMSMC has shared its members' excitement and knowledge of earth sciences for more than fifty years, welcoming collectors of all experience levels interested in minerals and fossils. The club meets monthly, except July, August, and holidays, at the Rockville Senior Center. It runs a youth program for ages 10-15, organizes field trips, and hosts an annual Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show. The society is a 501(c)(3) EFMLS/AFMS-affiliated nonprofit with over 100 members.
