About Baltimore Mineral Society
Baltimore Mineral Society is a Baltimore, Maryland-based nonprofit organization whose members share an interest in minerals, mineralogy, micromounting, and related earth sciences. Founded in 1951, the society is a founding organization of the Micromounters Hall of Fame and is affiliated with both the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical & Lapidary Societies (EFMLS) and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS). The club meets monthly, except in June and December, at the Natural History Society of Maryland in Baltimore. Field trips to collecting sites are organized for members, and visitors and guests are welcomed at meetings.
