About Blue Grass Gem & Mineral Club

The Blue Grass Gem and Mineral Club of Central Kentucky brings together hobbyists and professionals in the Lexington area who share an interest in rocks, gems, minerals, fossils, jewelry, and specimen collecting. The club meets monthly to share finds and socialize, and it leads monthly field trips to collecting sites around Kentucky and the surrounding region. Guests are always welcome at meetings, making the club an accessible entry point for newcomers to the hobby. The club participates in the regional show circuit and is active on Facebook, where it posts meeting updates, trip photos, and event announcements for members.
