About Buckeye Chapter
The Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America was started in 1996 by hobby gold prospectors from around the state. The chapter maintains the GPAA Swank Lease along the Clear Fork River near Bellville, where members pan and dredge for Ohio's fine 'flour gold.' Meeting days are open to the public, and the chapter runs a strong Boy Scout/Girl Scout program helping troops earn mining-related badges.
