About Comstock Gold Prospectors
Comstock Gold Prospectors, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that encourages learning about prospecting for gold in an environmentally friendly manner. Originally formed as a GPAA chapter in 1981, it became an independent nonprofit in 1990. Members get access to club-owned and leased mining claims in northern Nevada and California, and the club teaches prospecting skills at schools, fairs, and community events. Membership is open to anyone 18 or older, with family memberships including children under 18. Members reside across ten states including NV, CA, AZ, FL, IN, MO, PA, TN, TX, and WA.
