About Nebraska Mineral and Gem Club
Nebraska Mineral and Gem Club is a rock, mineral, and lapidary club serving the greater Omaha area, with a history spanning more than 60 years. The club runs regular lapidary workshop sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and holds its general membership meeting on the third Wednesday of each month in Papillion. It sponsors geology scholarships at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska-Omaha and hosts an annual rock swap and the Omaha Gem and Mineral Show for the public. The club is a member of the Midwest Federation of Mineralogical and Geological Societies (MWF).
