About Lincoln Gem & Mineral Club Inc

Lincoln Gem & Mineral Club Inc. is a Nebraska rockhounding club whose mission is to study, promote interest in, and share knowledge of lapidary arts and earth sciences including geology, paleontology, and mineralogy. The club meets monthly, September through May, at Bethany Park Shelter House in Lincoln, and runs a youth membership tier for members age 15 and under with a responsible adult. Field trips are a core activity, with 2026 outings planned to sites including Odell, Nebraska for the annual Odell Diamonds dig, Ashfall Fossil Beds, the Nemaha River, and the Bartel Museum. The club participates in the Midwest Federation's 'Future Rockhounds of America' (FRA) youth program.
