About Micromounters of New England
The Micromounters of New England (MMNE) was organized on November 8, 1966 to promote the study of minerals that require a microscope, distinguishing it from general-interest mineral clubs. Based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, the club holds monthly meetings, largely in person with a partial Zoom option starting around 11 AM, and hosts the Gene Bearss Annual Micromounter's Symposium, open to the public and including a catered lunch. MMNE encourages young people to join and offers a discounted youth membership rate. Non-members are welcome to visit a monthly meeting before joining.
