About West Suburban Lapidary Club

West Suburban Lapidary Club (WSLC) is a lapidary arts club serving the western Chicago suburbs. WSLC's mission is to foster the development of the lapidary arts and jewelry craftsmanship and to increase public interest in handcrafted gems and jewelry. Founded in 1959 by a group of enthusiasts in Elmhurst, Illinois, WSLC now holds its monthly meetings at the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art in Oak Brook, generally the 4th Saturday of the month from 1-3 pm (club business at 1 pm, program at 2 pm), open to teens and adults. WSLC is one of five Chicagoland clubs that together produce the annual CGMA gem and mineral show at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles, IL. Note: the club's own domain (westsuburbanlapidaryclub.com, listed in DB) currently has an expired SSL certificate and could not be fetched directly.
