About Southeast Idaho Gem and Mineral Society
Southeast Idaho Gem and Mineral Society (SEIGMS) is a rockhounding, gem, and mineral non-profit club serving the Pocatello area, affiliated with the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies. The club meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM, except in August and December. SEIGMS hosts the South East Idaho Annual Gem and Mineral Show at the Bannock County Event Center, featuring dealers from several states, more than 20 member display cases, live demonstrations, a silent rock auction, hourly door prizes, and kid-friendly activities including a gem/fossil dig. The club publishes a newsletter, the SEIGMS Searcher, and maintains an active Facebook page with over 2,300 followers.
