About Idaho Falls Gem & Mineral Society
Idaho Falls Gem & Mineral Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1957 that promotes the study of geology, lapidary arts, and applied earth sciences while fostering fellowship among members in the Idaho Falls area. It is affiliated with the Northwest and American Federations of Mineralogical Societies. The society meets the second Monday of each month, with a 5:30 PM social hour followed by a 7:00 PM meeting, at the Senior Citizens Community Center, 535 W 21st St. The club runs a Junior Rockhounds program for young members and offers field trips. It hosts an annual Spring Show and a Fall Member's Sale, and maintains Facebook and Instagram (@ifrockhounds) accounts.
