About Lapidary and Mineral Society of Central Connecticut
Also known as the Meriden Mineral Club, the Lapidary and Mineral Society of Central Connecticut is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Meriden, CT, in continuous operation since 1971. It is for people interested in minerals, gems, fossils, meteorites, fluorescent minerals, lapidary work, jewelry making, field collecting, and rocks generally. The club runs a lapidary center with instructors teaching stone polishing, faceting, and carving, and organizes multiple mineral-collecting field trips each year, including to Case Quarry, CCC Camp Prospects, and Clark Hill Quarries. Its flagship event is the Annual Mineral, Gem, and Jewelry Show and Sale, held each March at Francis T. Maloney High School in Meriden. The club's site migrated from lmscc.org to meridenmineralclub.org.
