About Western Interior Paleontological Society
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1985 (celebrating 40 years) for fossil enthusiasts ranging from curious beginners to professionals, based in Denver, Colorado, with the tagline "Discovery | Learning | Preservation." WIPS holds monthly educational talks, runs the PaleoZone program specifically for kids and teens, organizes field trips throughout the West and beyond, and offers grants and scholarships for research, education, and outreach. The society hosts an annual Founders Symposium.
