About GPAA Mountaineer Chapter
GPAA Mountaineer Chapter is a West Virginia chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA), based in Millwood, WV with approximately 11 members. The chapter is led by President Chuck Westfall and Treasurer Cathy Wood, and meets monthly during the prospecting season at a local Army National Guard facility. As a GPAA chapter, its focus is gold prospecting and recreational mining rather than mineral/lapidary collecting.
