About Shenandoah Valley Gem & Mineral Society

The Shenandoah Valley Gem & Mineral Society educates members about rocks, minerals, and gemstones from the local Shenandoah Valley region and beyond, through hands-on learning and expert presentations. It runs 'Leo's Lapidary Lounge,' a rock shop with mentoring, holds regular field trips, and sponsors the Betty Lloyd Scholarship Fund for student field-trip participation. Meetings are cancelled if Rockingham County Public Schools close for weather.
