About Pendleton District Gem and Mineral Society

Founded in 1961, explores the geological treasures of northwest Georgia, upstate South Carolina, and western North Carolina. Welcomes new members of all experience levels for hands-on learning in gems, minerals, and lapidary skills, plus rockhounding field trips. No independent club website was located — the club announces meetings via local radio (WGOG) and university event calendars (Clemson University). The March 2026 meeting was held at a local restaurant with a Dutch-treat dinner, member show-and-tell, and a guest workshop (kaleidoscope-making). Dues, contact email/phone, and membership count were not found.
