About Aiken Gem Mineral and Fossil Society

Aims to stimulate interest in the collection of gem, fossil, and mineral materials, and teaches lapidary work, mineralogy, and classification techniques in Aiken, South Carolina. Meets ten times a year (2nd Fridays January-June and September-December, with the March meeting on the 3rd Friday); no meetings in July or August. Meets on the University of South Carolina-Aiken campus. Explicitly welcomes guests and new members, including youth/students. Runs an active Facebook group.
