About Sweet Home Rock & Mineral Society
A nonprofit civic organization in Lebanon/Sweet Home, Oregon founded around 1948. Activities include an August barbecue, a Christmas bazaar, and rockhounding field trips a couple of times a year. The club is best known for its long-running annual Rock and Mineral Show, which by 2025 had reached its 75th year and drew between 1,000 and 3,000 attendees, featuring award-winning member collections (a tradition dating back to a 1959 "Best in Show" petrified-wood and fossil exhibit).
