About Hatrockhounds Gem & Mineral Society

A hobby club of roughly 50 members in Hermiston, Oregon that comes together monthly to share appreciation of rocks, minerals, and fossils. Members pursue rock and mineral collecting, fossil hunting, silversmithing, cabochon cutting, wire work, and gem-tree making. Meetings include an educational component, a show-and-tell session, and games such as Rock Jeopardy; visitors are welcome to attend before joining. Beyond monthly meetings, the club runs field trips, a summer picnic, and a Christmas party, and hosts an annual rock and gem show called "Nature's Treasures Under Foot" featuring vendors, demonstrations, and family activities.
