About Columbia Willamette Faceters Guild
A nonprofit organization based in Portland, Oregon dedicated to the advancement of gemstone faceting through education. Membership spans master cutters, professional lapidaries, and hobbyists. The guild maintains a lending library of periodicals, videos, and reference books plus gem-testing instruments, and offers classes, seminars, workshops, and competitions throughout the year. Members receive a monthly publication, FACETS, summarizing presentations, and past meeting videos are archived on the guild's YouTube channel. The guild participates in the Portland Regional Gem and Mineral Show and hosts an annual CWFG Gem Auction. Its tagline is "Turning Pretty Rocks into Pretty Awesome Gemstones."
