About Carolina Slate Belt Chapter
The Carolina Slate Belt Chapter (CSBC) is a chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America based in Aberdeen, NC, and operates as a nonprofit under IRS Section 501(c)(3). Its mission is to promote gold prospecting as a recreational activity. Membership spans skill levels from complete beginners to experienced 'Old Timers,' and members are willing to train newcomers and share techniques. You do not have to be a GPAA member to attend a meeting, and there are no chapter dues charged to members. The chapter maintains an outing schedule for group prospecting trips.
