About North Mississippi Gem & Mineral Society
North Mississippi Gem & Mineral Society (NMGMS), founded in 2001, is dedicated to education and the collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils, promoting the educational, scientific and recreational aspects of the hobby through meetings, hands-on workshops, field trips, and community outreach with schools and scout groups. Classes are held for beginners through experts, and visitors are always welcome at meetings.
