About Northwest Arkansas Gem & Mineral Society

Northwest Arkansas Gem and Mineral Society (NWAGMS), founded May 21, 1968, is an educational, friendly club of all ages and experience levels who share an interest in earth science, gems, minerals, fossils, lapidary work, jewelry making, and more, based in Siloam Springs. Members participate in monthly meetings with speakers, use a fully-equipped clubhouse workshop, and join field trips. The club runs youth-facing community outreach such as a Gem Sluice for school-age children and its annual Fall Rock Swap is free to attend with free vendor space.
