Locality notes

To reach the locality, starting from the Shady Motel in Caliente, Nevada, drive first south and then west on U.S. Highway 93 for 20km (12.7 mi). At this point, the Cambrian section is almost directly ahead on the right. As the highway curves, take the gravel road that leaves the curve tangentially on the right and follow it straight ahead for about 0.7km (0.45mi) to a parking area. Walk west toward a prominent gray limestone knob until you reach the distinct ledge of the Combined Metals Member of the Pioche Fm, then trace this NW across a wide alluvial fan, for about 0.6km. The trench across the Dyeran/Delamaran boundary is in the 5th gully norhtwest of the grey limestone knob and about 10m above the top of the Combined Metals limestone ledge. The precise locality is 25mm south and 112mm east of the northwet corner of the Chokecherry Mountain 1:24,000 quadrangle Nevada.
