Fossils here come from the Chamberlain's Brook Formation, dated to the St Davids (506.5–497 million years ago). The depositional environment is recorded as marine indet. Documented finds include Condylopyge, Agnostida, Dawsonia dawsoni, Kingaspis avalonensis, Paradoxides (Hydrocephalus) harlani, Braintreella rogersi.

Locality notes

Hayward's Quarry, southwest border of Quincy, Massachusetts, with the city of Braintree. The quarry was close to a tidal creek known as Hayward's Creek and located between Wymouth Fore River on th east and East Howard Street to the west. The Quincy shipyard was extended over the quarry during WWII and additional material cannot be collected. Lat/long estimate based on town of Braintree.
