Type localitity of Shumway Limestone Member, Matttoon Fm., Shumway Cyclothem is a fossil collection site in Effingham County, Illinois, cataloged in the Paleobiology Database. Fossils here come from the Mattoon Formation, dated to the Virgilian (303.7–298.9 million years ago). The depositional environment is recorded as carbonate indet. Documented finds include Pseudorthoceras, Brachycycloceras normale, Brachycycloceras, Tainoceras monilifer, Tainoceras sexlineatum, Metacoceras copei.
