Getting there
The community of Chicken, Alaska is situated on Chicken Creek in the Mosquito Fork valley, 66 miles north of the Alaska Highway by way of the Taylor Highway, and 108 miles southwest of Dawson City, Yukon by way of the Top of the World Highway. Both directions offer breath-taking vistas of millions of acres of wilderness.
The "Chicken Gold Camp & Outpost", including the Chicken RV park and Campground, the Chicken Creek Outpost cafe and gift store, the Pedro Dredge, gold panning and prospecting, is located in the center of Chicken less than 1/4 mile off the Taylor Hwy, free from the highway dust and noise. Turn on Airport Road at mile 66.4 Taylor Hwy and take the 1st or 2nd LEFT.
