About Racine Geological Society

Founded in 1958, the Racine Geological Society of Wisconsin exists "to stimulate interest and promote the advancement of science of geology for the membership and the communities of the membership, to encourage the professional and social relationship of members and to provide a meeting for the presentation and discussion of subjects of mutual interest." Open to any person interested in lapidary, mineralogy, or geology; members vote on field trip activities and the club participates in public school programs. Visitors are welcome at meetings before deciding to join.
