About Madison Gem & Mineral Club
The Madison Gem and Mineral Club exists to promote and encourage the study of mineralogy, lapidary, gemology, paleontology, and other allied fields. Runs an open lapidary lab on Saturdays and Introduction to Lapidary classes, fossil-hunting field trips to Wyoming, Utah, and Illinois, and describes itself as "Fun for all ages and all levels." Holds its annual show at the Exhibition Hall, Alliant Energy Center.
