About Western Washington Prospectors

Western Washington GPAA (WWGPAA), also known as Western Washington Prospectors, is a non-profit GPAA chapter founded in September 2007 to promote small-scale gold prospecting, build members' mining skills, and raise public awareness of gold prospecting and mineral resources in Western Washington. The chapter has about 25 members and holds monthly meetings featuring club business, guest speakers on prospecting and outdoor topics, and equipment demonstrations. It collects no membership dues, instead funding chapter activities through bake sales, raffles, and similar fundraisers. Members in good standing with GPAA (or guests of members) can prospect on claims the chapter maintains, including organized panning outings on those claims.
