About Central Dakota Gem & Mineral Society
Central Dakota Gem & Mineral Society, established in 1966 and based in Bismarck, brings together people from across North Dakota with a diverse range of interests including rocks, gems, minerals, lapidary work, geocaching, fossils, and wire-wrapping. The club is affiliated with both the Rocky Mountain Federation of Mineralogical Societies (RMFMS) and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS). It meets monthly at the Bismarck Library and hosts an annual rock and gem show each fall at the Bismarck AmVets hall. Per its most recent RMFMS federation filing, the club counted 53 adult members, 14 junior members, and 2 life/honorary members.
