About Saco Valley Gem and Mineral Club
Saco Valley Gem and Mineral Club supports gem, mineral, and related collecting enthusiasts in Albany, New Hampshire and the surrounding Mount Washington Valley region. The club was formed to promote popular interest and education in geology, mineralogy, lapidary arts, and related subjects, and its members participate in monthly meetings, workshops, field trips, programs, and exhibits. The club schedules several field trips and 'dig' events each year, both in northern New England and other venues, giving members hands-on prospecting and collecting experience. The club is affiliated with the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies (EFMLS).
