About 500 Earth Sciences Club
Dedicated to the education of its members in the earth sciences of geology, mineralogy, and paleontology. Members meet monthly for programs and discussions on these topics plus related subjects such as lapidary work, archaeology, and micromounting. Affiliated with the Midwest Federation of Mineralogical and Geological Societies and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. Mailing address PO Box 90352, Indianapolis, IN 46290. Hosts an annual gem, mineral and fossil show the weekend after Labor Day at the Hancock County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, IN, with free admission and over 50 vendors, to raise scholarship funds for local universities, museums, and youth earth-science organizations.
